Using the Grapinz identity
Everything you need to represent Grapinz correctly — the logo and how it may appear, the colour system, the typography, the visual language and the way we write.
Written for partners, press, students and anyone publishing something with the Grapinz name on it.
Assets are being prepared
The structure below is final and the guidance is real. The artwork — logo files, colour sheets, type specimens and templates — is still being produced, and each section marks exactly what it is waiting for.
Need something before then? Email info@grapinz.com and tell us what you are producing. We would much rather send you the right file than see a stretched logo in print.
Logo
The Grapinz logo is the single most reused piece of the identity. Everything below defines how it may appear so it stays recognisable wherever it lands.
Main Grapinz logo
The primary lockup, used wherever there is room for it and the background is light.
Logo variations
Light-background, dark-background, monochrome and icon-only versions of the same mark.
Clear space
The minimum margin that must stay empty around the logo, expressed as a proportion of the mark itself.
Minimum size
The smallest size at which the logo may be reproduced in print and on screen before it stops being legible.
Incorrect usage
Stretching, recolouring, rotating, adding effects, placing on a busy photograph or rebuilding the wordmark in another typeface.
Colour system
Grapinz runs one neutral foundation with four domain accents on top of it. The neutrals hold the identity together; the accents say which part of the business you are in.
Primary colours
The core Grapinz palette, with hex, RGB and CMYK values and the contrast ratios each pairing meets.
Secondary colours
Supporting tints and neutrals for surfaces, borders, text and background washes.
Domain colours
One accent per domain — Technology, Institution, Marketing and Grapreneur — and the rule for when each may be used.
- Technology
#7c3aed - Institution
#08b8d9 - Marketing
#e85d4a - Grapreneur
#35b86b
Typography
Two typefaces, used for different jobs. Headings carry the brand voice; body text is chosen purely for legibility at small sizes.
Typefaces and scale
Display and body families, weights, the type scale and the line-height and tracking rules that go with each step.
Imagery and elements
The parts of the identity that are not the logo, the palette or the type — and which do more than any of them to make a layout look like Grapinz.
Photography and image style
Subject matter, treatment, crop, colour handling and what to avoid when choosing or commissioning photography.
Icons and visual elements
Icon grid, stroke weight, corner treatment and the supporting shapes used across the site and in print.
Social media branding
Profile marks, cover art, post templates and safe areas for each platform Grapinz publishes on.
Brand voice
How Grapinz sounds in writing — on the website, in an email, in a course description and in a reply to a complaint.
Tone of voice
Principles, worked before-and-after examples, terminology, capitalisation and the phrases to avoid.
